Junior Application Support / PHP Developer

You will handle Tier 1 support and client relationships by answering support calls and emails from our clients, resolving issues with prompt, appropriate follow up to ensure complete client satisfaction. Our support team works closely with our Account Management Team to ensure speedy resolution of all issues. You must be extremely proficient in articulating with both technical and non-technical staff and users. The primary attributes we are looking for is a technical guru with superb communication skills who has a passion for helping people and who can work well under pressure. You will have a commitment to offer the best customer service possible and you will need the self-confidence to work with senior executives.

PHP Development

In addition to your primary role in Technical Support, you must have experience of object-oriented PHP5 and MySQL 5 (although experience with other relational database systems would be sufficient).

Also, you must be able to compose strict HTML/XHTML and CSS, conforming to current standards and semantics, along with a good knowledge of accessibility techniques. Ideally, applicants should also be aware of and know how to cater for SEO issues which need to be considered as part of web development at Crosby Systems. We are looking for someone who has an eagerness to learn, along with an up-to-date understanding of current web trends, technologies, standards and techniques. Experience in any of the following would be a distinct advantage: Zend Framework, JavaScript, W3C standard, Linux, XML and UML.

Requirements • Experience or knowledge of phone based Application/Technical Support supporting end users • Experience of troubleshooting complex problem resolutions within PC/Mac and networking environments • Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems • Knowledge of networking protocols, hardware and infrastructure • Excellent communication and customer handling skills • Ability to think on your feet in a highly demanding and fast-moving environment
