Chris and Pete set up @One Consulting Limited in 2010 to create pragmatic systems that add value to businesses through technology.
So far they have developed an android solution to replace a carbon copy process and a camera recognition tracking system which handles 35 million (and growing) records and provides the client with real time access to the data.
They’re background in start up, technology consultancy and investment banks has made them passionate about helping clients to understand their business issue and identifying ways that technology can help. They are already a trusted advisor and technology partner to clients in London and Sydney and are now seeking a permanent Senior Software Engineer to join them in Brixton.
You will take ownership of all existing and future developed code, technology development processes and manage the entire development lifecycle. You will be responsible for mapping client requirements into test driven development solutions as well as the design and architecture of systems.
Working in a small team means you will also be involved in estimating and helping the business grow, the intention being @One will build a team around the successful candidate.
Skills & Requirements
Whilst development experience in .NET and or Java is very useful, the skills requirement is more focussed on those who are passionate about technology and both understand and have experience of test driven development.
To be successful you must: Have experience, and understand the point, of test driven development, related frameworks and tools Be able to develop in .Net and / or Java Be comfortable working with SQL and LINQ Be experienced with the full development lifecycle
As their first permanent hire, the team fit is as critical as the skills. You must have a pragmatic approach to system development (no code hoggers please), be flexible enough to adapt to a dynamic start up environment, be willing to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in and be able to voice ideas, push back appropriately and handle clients professionally.
