Word 2007 has one more content control trick up its sleeve. As well as providing assistance, navigation and data entry constraints for users, and databinding to elements in the custom xml store, content controls can also bind to document and SharePoint properties. And you can do this direct from the Fluent Ribbon. No need to write code. No need to worry about XML. Just map document and SharePoint properties direct inside your document from the UI.
