Episode synopsis

It’s the live show from OggCamp 11!

The UUPC team, Laura Cowen, Mark Johnson, Alan Pope, and Tony Whitmore, join Linux Outlaws Dan Lynch and Fab Scherschel on stage at the Farnham Maltings for episode 13 of season 4 of the Ubuntu Podcast from the UK LoCo Team!

This is the ‘family friendly’ version of the show. The Linux Outlaws will be releasing the uncensored edit on their site at the weekend.

In the show:-

  • We thank all our wonderful sponsors who enabled us to make OggCamp 11 happen:

  • We discuss the technological and freedom aspects of the recent riots in England.
  • We debate the Anonymous plan to bring down Facebook.
  • We each mention our favourite open source (or nearly open source) piece of software from the past year.
  • And we thank the lovely people who aren’t in the podcast teams but who helped organise and run OggCamp 11.
  • Sadly, for rafflecast fans, we ran the OggCamp Raffle on the Sunday evening to wrap up the weekend so it’s not part of the show.

We’ll be back on Tuesday 30th August with a normal episode live at 8.30pm BST.
