This article was originally published in VSJ, which is now part of Developer Fusion.
Farpoint’s Spread for Web Forms 2.5 lets you add full-featured spreadsheet capabilities or more advanced grid functionality to ASP.NET applications.

Written in C# and compiled against both the .NET 1.1 and 2.0 Frameworks, Spread for Web Forms supports bound or unbound modes (no dataset needed), AJAX, native Microsoft Excel import/export, in-cell editing, multiple edits on multiple rows without server round trips, client-side column/row resizing, multiple sheets, searching, filtering, multiple cell types, validations, cell spans, multiple headers, sorting and complete customisation at the cell level. It now has over 300 built-in calculation functions with the latest additions extending its database functionality.

Spread for Web Forms supports Visual Studio 2005, AJAX calls with client-side calculations, filtering, frozen rows and columns, searching and client-side support for Mozilla Firefox.
