Gauge for SQL Reporting Services

Dundas Gauge for SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) lets you add a new type of data visualisation to reports. Dundas’ Chart technology was licensed to Microsoft for inclusion in Reporting Services 2000 and 2005, and this means that they have a head start in creating custom report items for SSRS 2005. Gauge allows you to display Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the form of Gauges/Dials and Numeric Indicators in your reports, and build digital dashboard and scorecard interfaces. All aspects of look and feel can be customised.

Gauge comes complete with a range of Gauge types, including Circular, Linear and Numeric, all of which contain sub-types (such as a thermometer style). Each gauge can be used separately, or combined together in layouts. The built-in data engine provides mathematical and statistical analysis abilities, and you can create outputs showing averages, minimum and maximum values, etc.

A built-in Wizard lets you create a Gauge in three steps. Select from Circular, Linear or Numeric Gauges, pick a colour scheme, add data and title elements. Once an instance of the Gauge is available, the Gauge Designer lets you customise the Gauge.
