SharePoint allows users to build customised interfaces with ready-made “Web Part” components, without the need for any programming skills. The new toolkits aim to facilitate the integration of SharePoint sites with line-of-business applications from SAP and other vendors, and to allow developers to construct portlets that interact with other portal sites, regardless of the technology they use.
