New capabilities include wire-speed policy enforcement integrated with endpoint policy enforcement that spans heterogeneous platforms and infrastructure; integrated service auto-discovery, service level management, exception management, security and routing capabilities to govern service networks at runtime, and a multi-tier architecture for SOA policy enforcement, extending management and security capabilities to both the network and service endpoints.

A new web site has been established for SOA Link, the governance interoperability group initiated by Intravio. It gives a link to a white paper (located on Intravio’s website), which gives details of the 19 vendors who had joined the group up to July 2006 (not including Rogue Wave, which announced becoming a member in that month). It also carries the news that AmberPoint and Reactivity have integrated their solutions. As a result AmberPoint’s management capabilities can now apply to SOA message traffic that flows through Reactivity’s XML appliances.
