Windows 7 Preview at PDC, WinHEC

Attendees at Microsoft’s two forthcoming developer conferences are to get a sneak preview of Windows 7, the next version of its desktop client. Windows 7 is expected to build on the existing Vista and Windows 2008 kernel, which should prevent a repeat of the numerous compatibility difficulties that beset the launch of Vista.
