Windows developers enter the cloud
Amazon announced support for Windows Server on their EC2 cloud computing platform today, making it possible for developers to run highly scalable solutions built using ASP.NET and SQL Server with low up-front costs.
The new platform is still currently in private beta testing, but will be available for general use before the end of the year. The change makes a major new platform available for developers wanting to move in to the "cloud", from scalable web sites to video streaming and encoding.
