Introduction
After using the Visual Studio Installer, and comparing the setups it creates to those such as Office 2000you will probably notice its drawbacks. The Visual Studio Installer lacked any customization facilities, and did not allow you to take advantage of the custom component installations (where the user can choose what components to install), or use the install-on-demand or self repair features.
There are now a number of third party programs that allows you to take advantage of the Windows Installer technology to the full. One of these is the Wise for Windows Installer program from Wise solutions, which we will review here.
