Creating HTML Help

HTML Help

HTML Help is the new standard for Windows-based Help systems.  It's fast becoming the Help system of choice, and is available to users of Internet Explorer 4.01 or greater and Windows 98. However, very little useful information is available from the MSDN CD for using it with Visual Basic. There is some information available from Microsoft, and if a developer is persistent through experimentation, some methods can be made to work. Other problems exist with attempting to call some of the C++ syntax used within an HTMLHelp project file from Visual Basic, in that the code simply will not recognize that particular syntax.

Parts of this article and code has been provided by David Liske of the HTML Help Center.
