time performance with sql queries , SQL query from VBA , with nolock option Bilbao, Spain

    Hi all,

I have created a VBA programm thta executes a SQL query qith some filters defined on the Excel sheet we run the process from. The development works fine and does nottake too much time.
However, if I open some other Excel books and run the query, it would take longer (the more books are opened, the longer it takes). Besides, as it take slonger, the process is blocking the SQL table tha query is working with avoidind new registers to be posted.

Does anyone know what could be the reason why the more books ara opened, the slower the query works?

    Thanks

    Regards,

    Virginia
