Complexity and LOC

  Hi everyone!

  I'm developing on a open source software for a my university course project. Anyway, I have a text editor mostly used by programmers, and I want to implement a feature for computing metrics. The problem is that since it is a text editor, I dont have the complete view of the project, I just have the view of the current file.

  Conclusion I thought to compute Cyclomatic Complexity and Line of Codes. Anyway they seem too different. How can I merge them in a unique and meaningful result? Are there a metrics that I can use?
