ASP Force File Download

asp.net United States

I need some help in solving an issue on our website. We have both audio and video files available for download on our site. When a user clicks on a link to an .mp3, for example, the file automatically begins playing either in Internet Explorer or Windows Media Player. What we want is for the file to start to download instead – to force the save as dialog to appear.

Well you could always try zipping them. this will allow faster dowload and a save as dialog.
