Network monitor

    Hello,
            I am trying to find out a way to monitor a client server program talking to an Oracle DB.


    What I would like to do is have a VB program which also receieves the messages being
    sent from Oracle to the client side application. Unfortunately I cannot change the client
    side application, Oracle tracing doesn't tell me enough either.


    I know something like a network sniffer can do it, but I want to try and write my own.


    Anyone got any hints or tips
