problem with email attachment

  hi
         i am developing a mass mailing page........
  i have given the option for attachment of files.. i am sending the  files mail is going successfully.
  but the problem is when i see the inbox i couldnt get the attachment some bad text is written there and no option for download attachment is there on my mail...............
  please provide solution for the problem as soon as possible...........
