Oracle is a platform for databases, like Microsoft's SQL Server or the open source MySQL. By coincidence, the company that produces the Oracle database software is also named Oracle

SQL is an acronym for Structured Query Language, which is a programming language for accessing data stored in a relational database. It is a an ISO standard, so implementation should be consistent from platform to platform. While pretty much every database platform supports standard SQL, many also support proprietary extensions to the language which allow additional functionality.
