Exporting xls files to http (sharepoint) site

  Hi

  Does anyone know a way around the "only XML files can be exported to an internet address" in Access 2003 problem?  I'm trying to export access 2003 contents (a table) to a sharepoint site as an .xls (excel) file and the only way I can currently do it is by saving the xls file locally then copying it across.  I can't export it directly to Sharepoint from Access as it just gives me the above error message.
