How To Connected to Remote System's SQLServer 2005 Database Using Internet

    I have a system installed with SQLServer 2005 and .NET. Using VB.NET how can I connect to the remote system SQLServer Database ? I have to retrive some records from that system. When i specify the remote system name and try to connect. its giving me following error

    Under default settings SQLServer does not allow remote connections Error

    Then I changed network settings in SQL Server Surface Area Configuration. Even though I am facing same problem.

    Please help me out.
