  Hi all

   can anyone point me in the right direction regarding serial communication in vb.net

  i use to use the ms comm controo in vb6 and i see that its not available in .net

  any suggestions on how to get around this?

  Check out the System.Net and System.Net.Sockets namespaces, I think you will find eveything you need in there.
