.Net 3.5 AjaxControlToolkit CascadingDropDown Limit

  I want to use .Net 3.5 AjaxControlToolkit CascadingDropDowns in my application however I must either use them everywhere or no where (my client is very specific about this). I have Country, Province and City dropdowns. Many Provinces have more than 800 cities. How do you get more than 800 entries into my city dropdown (there seems to be a limit just over 700 and then I get the famous 500 error)?
