MSVS macro help

I am trying to use Visual Studio to be able to run one of the tools that is not Microsoft but is loaded into MSVS tools. However when trying to create a macro to actually run it, it will not open. I can get it to run pretty much every other option in visual studio even 3rd party software except for this one. The overall goal is to be able to open this program (needs to be ran through MSVS because it loads the program from it) and select a couple options and that is it. What is the best approach for this?
