South Florida Web Development and Design Skill Sessions

The Why: I've been looking for a meeting that really involves it's participants. Don't get me wrong, I love attending meetings and listening to speakers talk about their experience and sharing their knowledge. It's just that when they're up there talking, my mind is going a thousand miles a minute. I want to see it in action, I want to be coding. So, I guessed that I wasn't the only one that felt this way. That's why I got with some good friends and we put this meeting / workshop together. The Purpose: The idea is to bring all the players in our community together in a forum that sparks creativity, promotes collaboration, fosters learning, and encourages teaching, while above all else being fun as hell. Who Should Join: You should join this meetup if you meet the following criteria: - You're a web developer in any technolo1gy (PHP, JavaScript, Java, .Net, Ruby, ASP, etc...). - You're a web designer who's interested in getting the skills to both design and develop your own web sites / apps. - You really love to design or develop. - You have a lot of knowledge and want to share it with others while also being challenged with new ideas, and new ways of tackling tasks. - You're a tried and true developer in XYZ language, but you want to learn about other languages and how they can expand your knowledge. - You're a newbie and you want to surround yourself with the right people and learn the latest tricks of the trade. - You're dying to learn different ways to tackle common web tasks. - You're reading this right now (this means you have some interest, so don't hesitiate to sing up).
