  This month we are going to have several talks on Web Performance.We will cover types of caching strategies and what tools are good to have in your tool belt.  There will be some general discussion about the entire web stack, not just the server side PHP code. AustinPHP is one of the biggest PHP user groups in the world!This will be a private party upstairs at Buffalo Billiards. She will also cover some general tips on building APIs using 3rd party APIs. Silona is an experienced speaker and a leader in the tech community.

• Austin Web Community Holiday Bash

  Last year 11 of the local meetup groups got together for one big party at the end of the year and this time we will do it again. So no regular meeting this month, just lots of free beer and socializing!We'll ask the same admission price as we have in previous years - canned goods or some money in the jar for the Cap Area Food Bank. Last year we collected $220 and 200 pounds of food.Come out and have a good time; meet your fellow web devs. There are quite a few!
