  • Android UX Testing Party

    The aim of this event is to enable people to bring along their apps (or wireframes) and do UX testing on each others applications, so there is fresh eyes to use. This will help people refine their apps before release or before building, and we can share experience of testing methodologies. Still looking for a venue for the event, the cost will be shared amongst attendees. We could find a pub or possibly an office/conference space - if anyone has a space to donate then chirp up!

  • Over the Air 2011

Based on the Hack Day model, Over The Air is Europe’s largest mobile developer event. For its 2011 outing attendees will have the pleasure of creating new innovative applications in the beautiful surroundings Bletchley Park.

    During the course of September’s Android User Group, we will present 3 talks of 15 minutes on the following subjects: Using Android GPS to measure race car performance Presented by Dr Paul Thomas Paul will talk about using GPS hardware on the G1 to turn the phone into a datalogger for lap times, G-forces and car positioning on the track. From this data we can inspect tyre and engine performance, and also see which parts of the track can be taken faster in order to reduce lap times.
