Chicago Dev Happy Hour

This group is for Chicago Area developers and designers of all makes and models to get together and drink alcohol (or some other poison), showcase their work, share tips and techniques, and find full time and contract work opportunities. We invite group members to submit ideas to talk about.  Bring a laptop or a tablet, a sketchpad or an etch-a-sketch.  We don't care.We are technology agnostic and just want to have drinks and meet other folk who know our woes.

Events coming up

We don't have any upcoming events for this user group. Do you know this group? If so, why not submit a future event? We also support iCal, EventBrite and Meetup feeds.

Past events

  • Get Out Of The Basement: Weekend Potluck

23-24 Jun 2012 in Chicago, United States

After some discussion with JP, we thought we would switch it up a bit and have a small group developer potluck. Get people together for drinks and some food after hours and see what happens. Talk about tech, beer, food or whatever strikes our fancy. Depending on how things go we may do more of these in the future.Drinks: BYOBFood: I'll provide the main dish, homemade bread and a side I'll make out of whatever is in my CSA box that week.

  • Walk through some Sencha while drinking

14-15 Jun 2012 in Chicago, United States

Ross (and maybe JP) will be talking about Sencha, and going through setting up a mobile app. Come have a drink (or get your company to sponsor us...hint hint Sencha), and listen to bad 80s music as we do this thing!Location is TBD, and I need to figure how many folks we can get before we finalize a place. If there are at least 10 people guaranteed to show up (which means 20 of you have to sign up), then we could get a decent pub like Fado's or something.
