SF Bay Area Google App Engine Developers

Meet others interested in developing apps on Google App Engine. This meetup has a strong programming focus, so talks showing working code and workarounds are actively encouraged. Each meetup will have a reasonable amount of time for informal lightning talks to show members' work.

Rafe Kaplan and Guido van Rossum from Google's App Engine team will be on hand to explain what's going on in the App Engine SDK. Since there's little documentation on lower-level SDK programming and operation, this talk should be very useful to hardcore App Engine developers :) Rafe will give the main talk covering these topics: - Overview of protobufs.

  • New APIs and lightning talks

    Thu, 9 Jul 2009, 02:00 - 04:00 in Palo Alto, United States

Brett Slatkin from the Google App Engine team will give a main talk on some of the new APIs, e.g., the Task Queue API.We'll then have a number of lightning talks.
