Meet local webmasters and people of diverse professions and backgrounds to exchange experiences in programming, administration, hosting, development, design, and/or just to meet to chat and learn from non-webmasters to understand where clients are coming from for greater overall long term success. Note that this is NOT a Meetup group of ONLY IT professionals. If you are ONLY interested in talking shop with IT programmers and developers, this is not the group you are looking for.
It is a monthly networking opportunity to meetup people of all professions and backgrounds, to build your support network, practice marketing and networking skills for overall ability to get and keep clients happy and to realize your overall business and human potential. Clients are looking for the overall qualities of IT professionals such as those who have a positive attitude, essential qualities and skills that are suitable to fit in the business or organizational culture.
If you are interested in leadership or facilitation experience, please let the organizers know. That would be a good way to get ahead. These opportunities are available for members of this group.
There is no charge to attend the event, however, donations to the nonprofit sponsor are greatly appreciated!

Yep, its that time of year again! Skills Matter will be organising the 3rd annual RoR eXchange on 3rd December 2009! We are putting together an intimate event packed with talks, demo's and discussions, to provide an opportunity for leading thinkers, rubyists, rails fiends and other RoR and Web community members, to get together for a fun day of learning, discussion and sharing and hear about tools, new Ruby or Rails features, emerging best practices, or just interesting ideas and techniques.
