Silicon Valley Young Executives

Hello! I'm a young executive in the Silicon Valley working at a large internet company. This meetup is designed to provide a social forum for young executives (35 and under at medium to large sized corporations) to meet and discuss career development, company politics, networking, and whatever else we decide to talk about.

Have you ever been in a meeting where all the discussions are about kids in high school or college, or perhaps been perplexed about when it is o.k. to negotiate a new severance package or comp package without changing jobs? Ever felt somewhat isolated because your peers are 10 years older and everyone your age calls you boss? This is the meetup for you.

Once we hit critical mass (10 or 15 members), we will meet once per month in an informal setting for dinner and drinks to discuss our challenges, establish contacts, swap war stories, and otherwise support each other in our respective careers. While I work in the internet/technology space, membership is open to any young executive (Vice President and up) working at a medium to large firm who is 35 or younger. CEO's of their own startup need not apply (face it, you are in a different situation, you are the boss after all :-). I don't intend this to be snobbishly exclusive, but I do want to keep it to people who have common challenges, so when you join I will ask for verification of your role/company. Of course we will make exceptions on a case by case basis.

Thanks!
