Austin Coworking

Austin Coworking. Formerly called Austin Webmasters, this group includes webmasters, system admins, web designers, web developers, web video and podcast producers and any business who is using coworking or interested in learning more about coworking. If you work at a coworking space, this group is for you.

Whether it's HTML, XML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Flash, or any number of other web languages (txt based FTP, dreamweaver, site-based-pagebuilders, content management systems (like wordpress and drupal) all welcome), community input and support can help you learn more, expand your ability, and refine your site to make it easier and more pleasing for visitors.

Meetups will consist of mutual problem solving (cause debugging is half the work), swapping techniques, web-tutors, programming books, etc. a fair bit of showing off, and just simple time to sit down quietly and work. We'll talk about Austin's coworking venues and spaces like Conjunctured and Texas Coworking and the new spaces about to open up.

If you're just starting out learning, trying to spice up that singular webpage, or a whole domain, have been tinkering for a while, or anywhere in between, you're welcome here.

Bring your laptops, favorite programing books/sites, BYOBeverages, and don't forget your flashdrive!

About the organizer: I'm a 20 plus year veteran of the Austin high tech scene and run a web development and hosting company at 1800 Lavaca, 109G. I am setting up a new coworking center at 200 E Sixth Street, Austin where web developers and designers will be welcome as members.
