help needed

  i have an access macro i came up with the problem is it wont allow me select a new file. what the access macro does is takes two files and compares them and shows the different entries. the main file that all others are being compared to never changes but the file being compared to the master file is always different. access wont allow me to select a different file here it maintains the link to the original no matter what i do. i need a vb script to allow me to select a new file how would i do this. any help is appreciated thanks
