North Alabama Web Developers December Meetup

For November, we will continue our series introducing you to *AMP stack, better known as Apache/MySQL/PHP. In October we walked through the installation of XAMPP and discussed the roles of the various components of the package. Session 2 will use phpMyAdmin to create a simple database and then we will create a simple PHP application to work with that database.

Chattanooga PHP Developers December Meetup

Lisa Ridley is going to give a brief follow-up presentation on memcached, and Jeremy Clifton will be presenting "An Introduction to JQuery" which will include how to make basic AJAX requests to PHP scripts. We'll also be giving away a book from O'Reilly (Even Faster Web Sites) that has been graciously provided by their User Group program.
