For the next few months, we'll have a weekly study session introducing Windows Phone development.  We'll discuss applications from the book 101 Windows Phone 7 Apps by Adam Nathan.  You don't need the book to attend, but it's worth getting.  You can buy it instantly using the free Nook app on your PC, even without a dedicated ebook reader.

For our first meetup, we'll discuss the Tally app from Chapter 1.  It's an excellent introduction to the basics of Windows Phone development.  After this meetup, you'll be able to write a simple app of your own.

Be sure to download the free developer tools from http://create.msdn.com and consider bringing your laptop.  You don't need to be a registered developer to get started.  You don't even need a phone.

Consider getting takeout beforehand from the food court on the lowest level of the Westfield Centre.  We can eat starting at 6:30 in the Microsoft offices.  After 6 PM, ask the security guard to let you up to the 7th floor.
