Objectives:
Learn the purest form of Test Driven Development
Find out how to let your design be guided entirely by tests
Build an application starting from atomic behaviors and not from design up-front
Description:
During two hours we will write code for a simple problem and then talk about what happened. There will be two sessions of 45 minutes during which you will work in pairs. After the first session we will stop for a couple of minutes to see where we are heading to and if there is something we could improve. In the end you will delete the code (it can be hard, but it is worth it) and we will have a closing discussion about what we learned.
You will need a laptop with a working and testing environment installed for your preferred language. This event will be language agnostic. Also you should have locally installed a source control software.
Schedule:
18:45 - 19:00 Intro

19:45 - 19:50 Break
19:50 - 20:35 Second session
