  • Code retreat

    Sat, 26 May 2012, 06:00 - 09:00 in Bucure?ti, Romania

In our day to day jobs we have the sense of wanting to get it done, that causes to rush. And so we try to cut corners, but sometimes we do not cut the corners in the best way because we do not know enough.During a code retreat we use pair-programming, which is wonderful because you can learn a lot from each other. We write our code using TDD and the known design rules. We focus purely on writing beautiful code, there is no pressure to actually produce a working solution for the problem.

So, let's meet and discuss what is code refactoring, refactoring to patterns, how to start with the code refactoring, best practices, maybe even with short examples. For this meetup I would like everybody's involvement and opinion because it's a subject of interest.

I would like this meetup to be something like a follow up for the Open Agile conference. At the conference we had presentation about obstacles when adopting Agile, about the pain of doing Scrum, but also about success in adoption of Agile. So, maybe nice talk about what to do when starting adopting Agile, or Scrum or Kanban would be useful.
