A GiveCamp is a weekend of "coding for charity," where teams of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Team Leads, Developers, DBA's and Designers come together to make technical dreams a reality for local MD non-profits. Most projects are new website builds, website redesigns, and database builds. Technologies used for these projects include: WordPress, .NET, PHP, SQL, Access, Site Finity, and others.
The projects kick off Friday night, and teams are working until Sunday afternoon. While some people stay all weekend, most go home and sleep, and the space and food is provided all weekend.
This is our 3rd GiveCamp event, and in the last 2 years, we've helped over 30 non-profits thus far, saving them over $500,000!
