Venue
SNOZone, Xscape MK , Milton Keynes, GB

A 1 hour crash course introduction to snowboarding followed by a Geek dinner.

Meet for a quick drink at the sno-zone bar that overlooks the snowboarding area and get to meet everyone at 6pm. At 6:30 ish we'll go get changed. Lessons start at 7pm.

You can hire gloves and jacket and (salopettes) waterproof trousers for a fiver. If you have friends that ski or snowboard, try to borrow solopettes. You can do your lessons in Jeans, but they will get totally soaked. Bring with a complete change of clothing as 1 hour will have you drenched in sweat! (it's fun, but also can be hard work.)

More info about what you'll learn in the lessons here:

A complete course so that you're ready to hit the slopes for real will take between 4 and 6 hours. Your introduction course is the first hour.

If you need a lift and want to spend the morning wandering around Cambridge then contact me, (Alan) on 01223 520347. Cathy and I can take 2 people with us in our car. (come up to Cambridge by train, and we'll give you a lift to the slopes and back.)

Aim to get to Xscape in Milton Keynes by 6pm.

NB! if you want Lessons you need to book early. There are only 7 people per snowboard instructor and the places fill up fast.

You will need to phone the SnoZone and book with them. SNO!zone Milton Keynes booking telephon number is 0871 222 5670. Sno!zone Website for bookings

Costs : Sno!Zone charge £ 27 for 1 hour lessons. Plus £5 for gloves and jacket hire if you don't have your own.

Everyone else who already knows how to ski or snowboard is welcome to come along. Remember to book in advance directly with the sno!zone. (I can't book for you.)
