September's Topic and Discussion: Google Wave: Reinventing Email
Email is an ancient protocol--relative to how long the internet has existed, anyway. Google's out to reinvent email with an ambitious new product, Google Wave, which rolls email, instant messaging, document collaboration, and the realtime web into a single interface. Google Wave will be available to the public later this year, but right now a few folks have access to the developer preview. In this session, you'll see an actual Google Wave account in action, with Q&A to follow. Discussion will cover what it can do, where it's going, and whether or not we'll truly be "waving" at one another instead of emailing next year.
