Due to other obligations this months meeting has been moved forward one week.
Adam Culp will be speaking on PDFlib and the many great functions of using the application using PHP. This tool does pretty much anything you would want to do with a PDF. There is a lite version that is free and is very functional, and also commercial licenses available for more advanced features.
Adam will cover the basics to help you get started using PDFs in your applications by showing how to:
- Install the application
- Use the API docs
- Discuss some differences between the lite and commercial versions
- Merge multiple PDFs into one
- Create invoices and/or receipts as PDF downloads
- Create a complex layout including text boxes and tables
- How to create an application to fill in form fields of an existing PDF form
