A behind the scenes look at Microsoft, interviewing Scott Guthrie and other key figures at Microsoft on the more recent stages of Visual Studio.
The documentary looks at the internal struggle over Visual Studio Express, and the desire to "democratise" development. In the end, within two days of the first beta released, over 200,000 downloads were made, and over 17 million in 2005 alone.
Also a look at the emergence of blogs in Microsoft's strategy of communicating with developers, "Ladybug" an early online tool for users to file feature requests and bugs, and the release of Visual Studio Team System in 2005.
You can also catch the earlier episodes on the early development tools at Microsoft, and the emergence of the .NET Framework.
