DOMs within Javascript....need desperate help!!

    Hello, Everyone

I'm in the middle of making this extension for Dreamweaver using Javascript.

I ran into a slight problem, in optimizing document production.

    here's the scenerio:

ie this is the basic layout of the site

    - Subheading1
    - Subheading2
    - Subheading3

    <hr>
    <h1>Subheading1</h1>

    • blah balhja alfjasldkfj
    • lkajsdflkajsf
    • lasjdflk

    <h1>Subheading2</h1>

    • blah balhja alfjasldkfj
    • lkajsdflkajsf
    • lasjdflk

    <h1>Subheading3</h1>

    • blah balhja alfjasldkfj
    • lkajsdflkajsf
    • lasjdflk

I was thinking of a way in which i can, use an extension to like add, remove or maybe even move a 'subheading" altogether.

i know that i can probibly name each of the subheadings using div or span but i have no idea how i would go about coding the extension to add, move, or remove a specific 'subheading' within the document.

can anyone help me with this, or maybe advise on the use of DOMs and how i may go about doing this?

    THANKS A LOT,
    Jacky
