updating data in remote computer

  my application is running two location that is loaction1 and location2. im using win98 as OS, to share the computer ans resocures im using remote login mehtod, by dial-up connection. in loaction1 and location2 im having vb application.now im willing UPDATE the data's of location1 in location2. (e.x) there is SALES tabel in two locations.the location1 has 10 rows, it should be UPDATED in location2. im using access as back end.i had written a tool in VB using WINSOCK CONTROL but it's not working properly in remote computer.
  
  If there is any one please help in ASP or VB or VB scripting.
