Looking for fellow internet technology entrepreneurs to help kickstart each others' projects and share ideas and code.
Do you have a project you're trying to get off the ground, but you could benefit from a few hours of work by other programmers?
Would you like to help other developers with their projects without a big ongoing commitment?
Want to meet other local technology bootstrappers and make new connections?
Are you able to work well and get along with anybody, and quickly get up to speed on somebody else's code, and like working on new things sometimes?
Do you spend too much time programming alone in the wee hours of the night?
If you answered yes to all of the above, maybe we should get together!
Here's the idea: a small group (maybe up to 5 programmers) meets for one or two long collaborative workdays. The first day everybody works on the first host's project - an hour or so of introduction and setup and then several hours of frantic coding.
Then, that first host owes everybody involved a day of work in return - either as part of another group meeting or through other mutually agreed arrangements. Everybody involved gets a nice kickstart for their project, meets some new people, and maybe learns some new things
Host is responsible for meeting location, infrastructure, and refreshments.
Obviously we'd need to have somewhat compatible skill sets - specifically I'm looking for standard LAMP and AJAX web app skills. not necessarily star hackers, but positive, productive, innovative people with a bit of programming and business experience
