The .NET Meetup of West Palm Beach
Hello Everyone,
I am creating this .NET meetup group because I am passionate about software development especially with Microsoft technologies and because I wanted to attract other people like myself that is local to West Palm Beach. I find that most of the .NET development community resides south of this area in Boca, Fort Lauterdale, and Miramar. While anyone is welcome to join this group, it will be more effective and interesting if developers with 3 - 5 years experience in Windows Forms, ASP .NET, and ADO .NET will join. I especially welcome developers that have worked with or interested in newer .NET 3.5+ technologies such as WPF, Silverlight, XAML, WCF, WWF, ADO .NET Entity Framework, LINQ, ASP .NET MVC, and ASP .NET AJAX. I also welcome integration specialists that work with SQL Server, Commerce Server, BizTalk Server, DotNetNuke, Sharepoint Server. Lastly, I welcome network specialists that know Windows Server, Virtual Server, Virtual PC, VMWare, and willing to show programmers what they need to know about networking to be more effective programmers.

Silverlight Tutorial

Please join TEKsystems, the .NET Meetup Group of West Palm Beach, and your fellow local .NET developers for a networking event on Tuesday October 6th, 2009 at 5 PM. The event will feature a tutorial on Silverlight presented by David Wetzel, a MCPD, MCTS, MCSD.NENT, MCAD, and MCP Certified .NET Architect. From 5 PM to 6 PM we will start off with pizza, drinks and networking and from 6 PM on we will enjoy the tutorial.

Anyone interested in web design, development, or running websites can attend: whether you're a website owner, a designer, developer, student, or just want to learn more. We're meeting at the Pierce County Library again since they have a large meeting room and free wireless access. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. Agenda This is our 3rd Annual Holiday Meetup and we'll have some fun. Usually, I volunteer to bring snacks or something holiday-ey, and you're welcome to as well.
