Using Analysis Services 2005+ as a source for Reporting Services 2005+

Analysis Services as a multidimensional (cube) data source is unfortunately a second class citizen as a data source to Reporting Services compared to relational sources, even though they are both Microsoft offerings. It is still possible to leverage Reporting Services effectively against cube sources, but various workarounds and tricks are often necessary. We will review the limitations and the workarounds. Time permitting we will also review limitations and workarounds for other Microsoft cube-client offerings such as Excel Services and Performance Point which are crucial to be aware of as you architect your solution.
