This talk gives an overview of modern styles of web development and shows how GWT fits into picture and what to expect from that in the nearest future.

You will learn what GWT provides for you from web application development and performance optimization perspectives. You will also learn how GWT compiler works internally and how you could tune it for your specific needs. After the presentation you should have pretty solid technical overview of what GWT is really about and whether you need it in your next project.
