In our polyglot group so far we have talked about various programming languages but not much about tools. But I think tools are equally important to become effective in various programming environment. In this presentation Ayan Dave is going to talk about maven. To be honest with you I was little skeptical about it because my experience with maven so far has not been pleasant. But I know few programmers who love maven including Ayan. Usually maven build tool gets associated with Java projects but Ayan is going to share with us how you can use maven effectively in different programming environment including Ruby, Groovy, Scala.

Maven is tool that provides project build, dependency management and reporting related functions from project object model (pom). It has many things to offer to the world of Java Development but what can Maven offer to the polyglot world? Come check it out. If you love Maven already you would love it even more. If you don't like it you may still find some interesting tricks.
