As the popularity of DevTank grows, I know that some people were disappointed not to get a place for the last meeting. Even before we had announced speakers for this month all the places were taken and there was a waiting list, so we thought it was time to find a bigger venue. The April DevTank will be at StartHub, so just around the corner from MOO, with space for 200 people.

As well as a bigger venue, we also have another fantastic line-up of speakers. Paolo Perrotta is the author of Metaprogramming Ruby and has more than ten years of experience as a developer and writer. These days, Paolo coaches agile teams for Yoox, a large Internet fashion shop, and teaches Java throughout Europe. He lives in Bologna, Italy, so we are lucky to have him in London for DevTank. He will be talking about the differences between languages such as Java/C# and Ruby/Python.

Jaan Orvet is Huddle's Director of User Experience. He has co-founded start-ups on both sides of the Atlantic (CodeSlam, Gray White Black, KIO, Nearbie, Treepose), worked in both production and senior management positions for companies like Yahoo!, Spray/Razorfish, Orbitsvillea and MINT, and is co-author of Noded. He is based at Huddle's San Francisco office, so again we are pleased to have in London for this event. He will be talking about why User Experience matters to human beings.
