The May Social Media SIG event features a panel discussion on how Team Cbus was formed, their purpose and how they mobilized a virtual community to “travel with them” on an actual road trip to the SXSW (South by Southwest) Interactive Convention, Austin Texas. Team Cbus ended the Chevy SXSW Road Trip Challenge as the top ranking team in the United States. Additionally, Team Cbus members will provide insights into important social, mobile and interactive media advancements premiering at the SXSW event.
Team Cbus is the story of five Cbusrs competing on behalf of the city of Columbus in the Chevy SXSW Roadtrip Challenge. Team members include:
-Nate Riggs: Captain and Owner, Social Business Strategies. Successful entrepreneur. Social Media strategist and industry thought leader. Nationally recognized conference speaker, professional blogger, and consultant.
-Elijah R. Young: Co-Founder of Social Talk Live, Serial Entrepreneur, Brand and Social Media strategist. Leading contributor to popular industry blog, Social Media Examiner.
-Sarah Storer: Blogger at “The Naked Redhead,” speaker, storyteller, community enthusiast, experience in communicatio, and content strategy.
-Mike Whalling: Owner, 30Lines; successful entrepreneur, Web, SEO, and Social Media strategist and founder of the multi-family industry Twitter chat, #prchat.
-Eric Leslie: Owner, Be On Scene; successful entrepreneur; Web, SEO, video, and community building. Projects include Six Degrees of Dublin and The Batten Journey. Provides his own costumes for photo shoots.
The discussion will be moderated by Jennifer Hallowes, Communications, Marketing, PR and Social Media Strategist with Astute Solutions.
